May 24, 2013: Grapevine, TX. - In a fiercely contested compromise Thursday the Boy Scouts of American opened its doors to gay scout members but not gay scout leaders.  Some believe this decision may lead to mass defections of members and donors.  The policy will take effect January 1, 2014.
