Bombeck Home on List of Historic Places

Erma Bombeck, the woman who wrote many humorous stories about the life of Midwestern suburban housewives, built a home in Centerville in 1959. The home is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Bombeck was a humorist from the mid-1960's until the late 1990's and wrote over 4,000 newspaper columns, published 15 books, magazine articles and she contributed to Good Morning America.
