Cupp Supports Cyberharrassment Victims
October 9, 2015
State Rep. Bob Cupp of Lima has voted in favor of House Bill 151, which increases the protection for individuals in the state of Ohio who are victims of cyberharrassment.
HB 151 would broaden the meaning of the term "menacing by stalking" to also include knowingly causing someone to believe that mental or physical harm would come to that person's family, intentionally posting a written message or using verbal graphic gestures to lead someone to believe they are in danger and performing either of these two acts using a telecommunications device.
The bill will now go to the Ohio Senate for consideration.
