Honda Makes Progress Replacing Airbags
October 12, 2015
Honda has stated it has made "steady progress" in making repairs for customers who have been affected by Takata airbag-inflator recalls. As of late last week, the automaker said the repair completion rate is at nearly 40%. Regarding the vehicles in areas with higher humidity, the completion rate is higher due to the higher risk of airbag problems with increased humidity.
Honda and Acura dealers are repairing nearly 24,000 vehicles a day related to airbag recalls. More than 3.5 million vehicles have had the defective inflators replaced.
