Kalida Tops Ohio for Affordability

March 6, 2015-

The Business Insider ranked Kalida as the most affordable place to live in Ohio.  Towns with populations between 1,000 and 10,000 people and whose households spend no more than 30 percent of their annual income on housing costs were considered by the Business Insider.  Kalida made the list of 51 small towns in the U.S. with a reported 93.2 percent housing affordability to house its population of 1,500 plus.  Curt Croy, director of the Putnam County Improvement Corporation, says the village's successes are due to strong family values, a good school district,  and a good industrial base.
