Medical Condition Likely in Shelby County Crash
April 29, 2015
Ohio Highway Patrol Sgt. Vee Witcher said the driver of a semitrailer likely suffered from a medical condition prior to crashing his semi through a guardrail along I-75, 8 miles south of Sidney. The semi continued down a ravine and ended up about 100 yards away from the Great Miami River. The accident occurred around 7:21 last evening.
John Depue, 54, from Charlotte, MI, has no recollection of the accident and Witcher said, "He lost consciousness several times at the scene." Depue was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The accident remains under investigation.
