Police Investigate Sidney Speedway Robbery
Dec. 9, 2013: Medina, OH - Two masked gunmen robbed the North Main Avenue Speedway of an undetermined amount of cash this morning.
The two men, described by police as wearing dark masks and dark clothing, entered the store around 1:30 a.m. and pointed guns at the man behind the register, police said.
Officers put crime tape up around the business, 1515 North Main Avenue, as detectives collected evidence from inside the station.
Surveillance cameras inside the Speedway captured the robbery and police continue to search for the two robbers. One was described as being 6-foot-1 and the other around 5-foot-9, officers said. Both men were believed to weigh around 200 pounds.
The clerk told police the gunmen ran on foot north from the store, investigators said.
No injuries were reported during the crime and no other customers were in the store when the robbery happened.
