Former Darke County Sheriff's Deputy Sentenced
May 5, 2015
Bryan Wombolt, 28, and a former Darke County Sheriff's Office deputy, was convicted in January on two counts of felony unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Wombolt agreed to a plea deal that, in turn, dropped two sexual battery counts. Wombolt admitted his sexual relationship with a 17 year-old student.
Wombolt will spend 60 days in jail followed with 60 days of probation. He will also be required to register as a Tier II sex offender for the next 25 years. If he violates the terms of his probation, he could face the maximum of five years in prison.
