According to analysts at GasBuddy.com gas was averaging $3.84 on Sunday. The survey of more than 630 gas outlets in the region compares with the national average last week of $3.67 per gallon.

“Prices yesterday were 23.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 18.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago,” states a GasBuddy.com release issued today.

In the past 12 months, the lowest gas prices in the region occurred in mid-December of 2012 when a gallon cost $2.96.

The all-time high is $4.16 per gallon of unleaded fuel in May 2011.
