Greenville Arsonist Sentenced to CCS

One of the two men responsible for robbing and setting fire to a number of vehicles in Greenville has been sentenced.  Lowell Bowers, charged with four counts of arson, was sentenced to serve the next five years under community control sanctions.

Bowers apologized to the court for his actions, and said he was making progress at AA meetings, as well as making efforts to stay sober.  He will also be beginning a new job soon.

Bowers will have to pay $8,910.69 is restitution, serve 92 days in jail, which he has been given credit for serving, an additional 90 days of electronic house arrest, 100 hours of community service, lifetime arson registration as well as additional sanctions.
