Rossburg Truck Driver Indicted

Christopher Thornhill, 33, of Rossburg, is facing 12 criminal charges in connection with  a multi-vehicle crash in Boone County , Kentucky.  The crash took place January 29 of this year.  Thornhill was driving a tractor-trailer heading northbound on I-71 when he swideswiped an unoccupied vehicle along the right side of the road.  He then lost control of the semi and crossed the median.  His truck entered the interstate's southbound lanes where he collided with two vehicles.  The driver of one of the vehicles, Mark Sevilla, 45, of Lexington, Kentucky, died at the scene.  Following a four month investigation, a Boone County grand jury indicted Thornhill.  He faces one count of second degree manslaughter among other charges.  Deputies from the Darke County Sheriff's Office took Thornhill into custody Wednesday.  He is currently being held in the Darke County Jail awaiting extradition hearing in Darke County Common Pleas Court.
