Wes, K94 Afternoons (12pm-6pm) / Promotions Director
I was born in Indiana and spent the better part of my life moving since my dad was in the Air Force. Of all the places I've lived I call North Carolina home, which would explain why I'm a true, blue Tar Heel fan (Go Heels!).
I graduated from Fairborn HS in Fairborn, OH and went to Marian College in Indianapolis for 2 years where I played baseball, partied and went to class when I could fit it into my schedule. After a stint in the Air Force, both on active duty and active reserves I went back to school and finished my associates degree in 2002 and my bachelors degree in 2004.
I started my radio career in Auburn, IN working part time on the weekends before working my way to the Promotions Director gig and getting a FT on air position. A few years later I came to K94 after I was offered a full time position doing the Mid-Day show, as well as promotions where I wheel and deal to get tickets to places like various zoos, Reds games, Browns games, fun parks, concerts and more so we can give them to you! An added bonus for me working at here at K94 is the fact that we're a Reds and Browns affiliates - my two favorite teams!
There are two ideas on how to live life that I like a lot: (1) Don't take life too seriously; no one gets out alive anyway (2) It's better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you're not.
Join me everyday from 12pm - 6pm for the best classic rock and new rock, as well as your daily dose of "Four Play" everyday at 4:00.
Favorite Artists/Bands: Van Halen, Sammy Hagar, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughan
Hobbies: Watching sports, writing stories, reading, spending time with my kids (when it's cool to hang with dad), listening to music and participating in the occasional Nude Co-Ed Tapioca Twister tournament.
