TERRY, K94 Morning Show (6-10am) |
|
Favorite Bands/Artists: The Beatles, The Eagles, James Taylor and Led Zeppelin
Hobbies: Disc Golf, Playing Guitar, Plants, Reading and Bike Riding
About Me: I was born in Coldwater, Ohio and grew up in Celina. I attended college at Findlay University and then landed my first radio job in 1984. I got a radio job in Canon City, Colorado in 1986 and worked there until 1999, when I got a job doing television traffic reporting in Colorado Springs. I worked there for one year and then got a job at a classic rock station in the Springs where I worked until 2004. It was then that I was turned on to the sport of Disc Golf, which I encourage everyone to try! After my tenure there I started working as a creative services director at a country station, still in Colorado Springs. The station was recently bought out. After much consideration and the fact that I missed my family after 22 years out of the state...I decided it was time to come home. To my amazement (and my good fortune) upon arrival there was an opening here at WKKI. I have been here since January and have to say this is a great staff with fine people. I am very happy about my decision to come home and look forward to being your company in the mornings (6a-10a) for some time to come!

Hobbies: Jogging, reading, watching college and pro sports. Big fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Green Bay Packers and Bowling Green Falcons. Also a big fan of The Beatles, Rolling Stones and just about anything associated with Rock N Roll!
About Me: I am a Delphos native and attended St.John High School, graduating in 1973. I attended the Ohio State Branch Campus in Lima for two years and then transferred to Bowling Green to get a degree in journalism. My radio career started at WDOH in Delphos, where I called local sports from 1979-1989. I covered the WBL, MAC , Putnam County League and Northwest Conference in those years. After moving to Coldwater in 1989, I hooked up with WCSM in Celina calling local sports, primarily in the MAC. I was there until 2002, when I decided to give teaching a try. I actually moved to Lima and taught school for one year before realizing that was a big mistake and was able to get back in radio with WKKI in 2004, doing the morning show at first and now doing games around the area in addition to the morning show. I also host K94's Sports Korner show and do the public address announcing for the Grand Lake Mariners in the summer at Celina's Westview Park. I am glad to be on staff at K94 and hope to stick around as long as possible.

CAT, K94 Afternoons (2-6pm) |
|
There’s an old English proverb that says “All cats are gray in the dark,” which pretty much means “people are undistinguished until they have a name.” K94’s Cat has clawed her way into being a feline rocker whose name definitely fits her personality. Finicky toward typical trends, but wrapped all around the things she loves and believes in:
music, opinions, freedoms and most importantly, and especially the people she loves.
“Yeah, I probably shaved off a few lives, but I AM living proof that curiosity doesn’t ALWAYS kill the cat! Sometimes it actually pays off.
Here’s the deal, my favorite motto is, “There will only be one of you for all time…… FEARLESSLY BE YOURSELF!” Be brave, love hard, be eccentric, be kind and when necessary adopt CATTITUDE! Never apologize for who you are, and absolutely find your passion in life.
Cat’s been in the industry since 1993 both as a DJ and a singer. She currently rocks out her weekends with the band “Film@11.”
Join Cat from 2-6 pm Monday thru Friday for classic & new rock, twisted news, some laughs along the way, and definitely a good dose of Cattitude! Your calls are welcome, your opinions are important and according to Cat, “All voices are equally important!” |
